DUBAI: Former Manchester United footballer Rio Ferdinand has been mocked by social media followers after he posted a video, claiming to be of his “5 a.m.” workout. But while it is usually dark outside at the time the photo was meant to have been taken in January, it is clear in the photo that daylight had already begun when the image was taken.
Ferdinand shared a video of himself and his partner Kate Wright lifting weights at an outdoor gym on Wednesday.
His caption read: “5am workout this morning.”

Followers were quick to comment, teasing the player about his ability to tell the time, pointing out that in winter, the UK is in darkness at 5 a.m. as it does not tend to get light until 8 a.m. at this time if year.
One user wrote: “someone teach this goon how to tell the time thicker than a submarine door.”
While another said: “That is not at 5am!! Come on, we ain’t that daft here.”
The 38-year-old former defender, who retired from football in 2015, maybe training for his aspiration to become a professional boxer with hopes to fight for an English title in 2018.
